Michael Blaker’s Bookish Wednesday: “Rise of the Weakest Summoner Book Seven” by J.R. Saileri

Hey all, I’m back with the seventh entry in a fantasy series about the adventures of Asterios for this week’s Bookish Wednesday. It’s “Rise of the Weakest Summoner Book Seven” by J. R. Saileri.

Plot: This volume is much stronger than the previous one I reviewed, with plenty of action and not so much flitting around this time around.

It begins with Asterios and company working on their preparations to enter Bryn’s realm and looking for the Descending Spire. That is what Asterios’ father, Red, told him to find, but he can’t start that task before having to deal with a more annoying matter, politics.

Characters: We get to meet a ton of new characters in book seven. Honestly, I really don’t have it in me to pick any single one of them to be a favorite. They were all pretty good and none stood out more than the others. And the other characters were as solid as ever.

Overall: A great seventh volume in this series.
