Michael Blaker’s Anime Sunday: “Scooped Up by an S Rank Adventurer” Episode 01 Impressions

Hey all, I’m back with another Anime Sunday with a series from last year’s summer season. It’s my “Scooped Up by an S-Rank Adventurer” Episode 01 Impressions.

Plot: This is a fairly standard fantasy series and is honestly not that much of a standout really. There’ve been other stories that have done similar premises in the past. Honestly, it’s not that great to be honest.

Characters: The main character is Lloyd, and honestly, I kind of hate him as a main character because of how much of an airhead he is. The rest of the cast is okay, but frankly Lloyd is supremely irritating to me.

Artwork: The art is pretty solid, but that’s not a surprise to me since it’s by the studio Felix Film that also did some standout work on past series. It doesn’t make up for the irritating main character and lackluster plot though.

Music: Not particularly noteworthy. It fits the story, but it’s nothing memorable.

Overall: A mediocre anime. It’s not terrible and certainly isn’t unwatchable, but it’s not a standout series either.

For those who like: Fantasy, Action, and Adventure.

Not for those who don’t like: Any of the above, Lackluster Plots, and Annoying Main Characters.
